The Village Mindset

Children, families, and communities thrive when responsibility is shared. In many cultures around the world, parents are not expected to do everything alone. Instead, “alloparents”—extended family members, neighbors, teachers, mentors, elders, and other caring adults—play an active role in guiding, supporting, and encouraging the next generation.
